Team Building and Conferences Although making use of the great outdoors features in most of our team building and training events, there is a huge variety of formats according to the objectives of each team.
Delivered by our Lead Team Building instructor, Phillip Appleby, we have a range of team building exercises designed to develop creativity and learn more about the dynamics of your team. Each participating group is briefed in advance by Phill who has over six years experience as an instructor. Phill is on hand through-out each challenge to assist if necessary, and to provide a de-briefing with solutions. All equipment is supplied.
Listed below are some team building events we can suggest. We are also happy to discuss other ideas or alternatively to host your own team building challenge.
Orienteering Armed with maps, compasses, and walking boots each team’s challenge is to navigate along a designated route through the countryside without getting lost, loosing anyone, or falling out! At marked points along the route there are clues which if correctly interpreted will bring bonus points.
Eggstravaganza Team Building Game Each team will be given a box containing various items that will allow them to build an “egg launcher” within in a limited time. Teams will be given a wooden egg to test out their contraption. The finale is at the end of the build phase, when all teams will gather around and one by one attempt to launch real eggs, with the winning team propelling it’s egg the furthest.
Timber Matrix The objective is to utilise the materials provided to construct a timber framed building. The materials consist of sets of colour coded wooden planks which if erected correctly will form the base, walls, and roof. Participants are assisted through a letter and number coding system to indicate where individual pieces should be positioned in the building.
Each team must work together in an organised way against the clock to build the most secure structure in the shortest possible time.
Archery Scrabble Instead of shooting at a regular archery target the team members shoot at letters, when they hit a letter the team is given that letter and after collecting six or seven start forming words on a Scrabble board. Teams write their words on a special score sheet, score them, and calculate the total. The highest score achieved within the limited time period is the winner.
For highly exclusive conference meetings you will have exclusive use of the whole venue so that you can combine your meeting with an event. Typically clients will hold a meeting or conference during the morning followed by lunch and events in the afternoon.
